5K Monitor for Mac Pro 2013: Available only pre-owned If you own a Mac Pro or even want to buy one, you won’t find any 5K monitors in new condition that can be connected. Well we must be more precise: which could be connected and operated at full resolution. Of course, there is currently the and the cheaper, both of which can be connected to the Mac Pro via an adapter. However, neither of them can run in full resolution. This is due to the fact that the graphics output of the Mac Pro is still done via Thunderbolt 2 ports with DisplayPort 1.2. In practice, this means that each port only delivers a maximum of 4K resolution. Apple states that the Mac Pro can either run 6 Thunderbolt displays or three 5K displays or three 4K displays. But here’s the problem: the 5K monitors must be able to use dual cables, so that one part of the signal runs over one cable and the other part over the other. ![]() In the monitor, the signals are then combined to form a single image. Remember: 5K is almost twice as many pixels as 4K, so it’s a lot of data. For example, 5K monitors that could be connected with a dual cable were • • • Since the Mac Pro is from 2013 and 5K resolution is now possible via one cable (Thunderbolt 3 or DisplayPort 1.4), the monitors with double cable input are extinct. Best Monitor for MacBook Pro 2016 Model (Thunderbolt 3). The new 15-inch MacBook Pro from 2016 can power dual 5 K displays, while the 13-inch can only power one We’ve compiled this buyer’s guide for you Mac users out there looking for the best monitor for MacBook Pro and MacBook Air in 2019. Now you have an option to buy best in quality from low blue light technology with your MacBook. So there is currently no monitor that you can buy new and that runs on the Mac Pro with full 5K resolution (if you know of one send us a mail, we are still looking). Rather take a 4K Monitor. Since there are adapters that translate from Thunderbolt 3 to two times 4K DisplayPort, we thought, maybe there is a model that takes two DisplayPort 1.2 signals and combines it to one DisplayPort 1.4 signal. But we haven’t found anything yet. ![]() Perhaps a nice gap in the market for adapter manufacturers. So the Mac Pro currently only offers the possibility to purchase one of the above mentioned used monitors or to use a great 4K monitor. If you plan to upgrade your Mac in the future, you can of course buy a 5K monitor now an run it for the time being with a smaller resolution. Buy on Amazon. I can only speak for myself. I have the Dell U2515Hx 25'and I love it. Super crisp and clean and cutting off a couple inches made the savings worth it for me. I just purchased it last week and have been enjoying it. What are you looking for in your monitor? I have heard a curved monitor is just as good as the normal 34' just spending extra monies on a curve. I have been coding/using sketch and the occasional Netlfix movie. Super clean, mattish (not Apple matte, but not glossy either) finish that does well in direct light for me. I had a Dell U2913WM from before that I'm using with my new MBP now. I'm pretty happy with it. Love the ultra wide form factor for designing. Sometimes it doesn't want to recognize the signal from the laptop. I've tried a couple of USB-C to DisplayPort cables and adapters. Once it's up and working then it usually works well but after unplugging it, it occasionally can take couple of attempts to get it working again. This seems to be related to DisplayPort since there's no issue with HDMI but there's something about the image quality of the HDMI signal that I don't like. I have a different LG 34inch Ultrawide. I'd recommend that you'd get a curved monitor if you get an Ultrawide, simply because the content on the corners of the display will be harder to view because of the angle of the screen, relative to your eyes when you turn to look at them. I cannot recommend ultrawides enough for productivity sake. The only real drawback is that there is no high ppi ultrawide monitor because of the graphic power that would be required to power one.

And available as part of its Mac OS X operating system. It was included as the default browser in Mac OS X v10.3 (Panther) and is the only browser bundled with Mac OS X v10.4 (Tiger). I have a 2007 mac desktop with OSX 10.8.5 which I am told is not supported by Mac any longer. I am told that Safari is no longer any good, that I have to find another browser, but I have the same response with Firefox & Google Chrome. I would most strongly recommend you change your browser to Waterfox, and cease using Safari. Safari 6.2.8 is unfortunately deprecated on some websites now, particularly online banking. Waterfox is a fully capable, currently supported browser that is fully compatible with Mountain Lion. There is no reason to upgrade at all unless you actually need the latest features. Also, you should check whether your applications needed for work (and leisure) will work with any upgrade, should you decide to upgrade. I suggest that you need not do anything other than use an up to date browser. You certainly do not need a new computer, that is a fact. I hope this is of assistance. Waterfox is an exact clone of Firefox, settings, bookmarks, extensions, plugins, all the functionally, everything migrates from your Firefox install. ![]() The current version of Waterfox is 51.0.1 the same version for Firefox. Waterfox is 64 bit, I think it is even faster than Firefox. It updates the same as Firefox. New Waterfox updates kept crashing in previous versions, but the new updates now install quite smoothly. I use Safari 6.2.8 occasionally when Waterfox won't connect to a certain site but that is rare. Their support forum is somewhat slow in response, but, in my experience as a somewhat non technical person, Waterfox performs in an excellent fashion. Microsoft changes Office licensing, allows transfer to new systems. After users complained, Microsoft changed its licensing terms for the latest versions of Office. When OS X installs itself, it creates a set of system folders that are standard across every Mac. These include the Library, Home, Downloads, and Applications folders. While most folders inside of OS X can be moved pretty easily and without hassle, the system folders generally need to stay where they are. If moved, they tend to break a lot of important things. Even though OS X doesn’t like you to move them, it’s fairly common for you to want to move, say, your Applications folder from a small SSD that you use for booting to a much larger internal HDD. You can’t do this by simply dragging and dropping the folder into its new location. But with the help of symbolic links, or “symlinks,” you can move the folders without issue and save some space. NOTE: Before going any further, make sure you have a complete backup of your Mac. ![]() Followed correctly, the steps below will not damage your Mac or its file system in any way. But mistakes happen, and a fresh backup will fix just about any of them. Some Background Before getting into the nitty gritty of how to create symlinks, you should understand what exactly you’re doing. Many Mac users are familiar with creating aliases for folders and files, but an alias is a very different creature from a. An is a pointer to a file or folder somewhere else. This somewhere else could be your hard drive, a removable USB drive, or even a remote server. ![]() The alias is tied to a unique ID for the file or folder, so no matter where you move the file or folder, the alias will find it again. A symlink is sort of like an alias, in that it points to a file that’s somewhere else. But with a symlink you cannot move the destination file, as its exact location is stored in the symlink. It’s this exact location that allows us to move important system files to another location. If you tried to use an alias to move a folder off your main hard drive, there’s a good chance it wouldn’t work for some of the contents, as not every file and application works well with aliases. Symlinks, on the other hand, rely on hard-coded locations, so they tend to work with everything. There’s less translation involved, so less chance of mistake or failure. Now that you have a general understanding of what these links are, let’s show you how to make one. SEE ALSO: Duplicate contacts killing your productivity? See how Scrubly can help in this. Step 1: Create a Copy of the Folder First, create a copy of the folder you want to move in its new location. For the sake of this example, we’re going to move the Downloads folder from its current home at ~/Downloads in the Home folder over to an external HDD. This can be done with a simple drag-and-drop. Once the file is copied and in place, it’s time for step 2. Step 2: Remove the Original Folder This is where you’ll start feeling better that you did a full system backup. With the folder copied to its new location, you need to delete the original folder. This is harder than you might think, since OS X really doesn’t want you to delete system folders. This means you need to do some work in Terminal. Open up Terminal ( Applications > Utilities > Terminal) and paste in the following command: sudo rm -rf ~/Downloads/ You’ll need to enter your admin password, but the sudo, or Super User DO, command will bypass the protections that OS X has in place. If you reach the Office Store through a web browser, before you click the Add button, you should probably sign in to your Office 365 account if you have one—it's just easier that way. You can also reach the Office Store through the Insert tab in Excel. Click the Store button and navigate to the Stock Connector page. No matter how you get there, clicking the Add button ( Figure A) will install the Stock Connector app. Once the app is installed, navigate to the Insert tab in Excel and click the My Add-ins button. You'll be presented with a list of installed add-ins; just click Stock Connector to activate the app. A new window should open and you'll see a search box where you can enter ticker symbols for the stocks or other securities you want to track ( Figure B). Figure B To insert a stock price into an Excel worksheet, click the cell where you want the price to display, type the ticker symbol of your stock into the Stock Connector search box, and then click the Connect button. The add-in will search Yahoo Finance for the information and ask you to confirm the cell where you want to deposit it. Assuming the cursor is on the correct cell, all you have to do is click OK. SEE: For an example of how you might use Stock Connector, take a look at Figure C. I made a simple listing of stocks and their ticker symbols. Then I added columns for how many fictional shares I own (C) and what fictional price I paid for them (D). The next column (E) calculates my cost basis by multiplying C x D. Figure C The next column (F) is where I inserted the market prices found by Stock Collector. I used that information to calculate the market value of my shares (G) by multiplying C x F. The next column (H) calculates my gain or loss based on the current market price by subtracting C from G. The last column (I) shows how each stock is trending for the day, which comes directly from information gathered by Stock Connector. To make gains and losses obvious at a glance, I took advantage of Excel's conditional formatting. This is just a basic example, but with a little imagination you can use other conditional formatting techniques to convey even more detailed information. ![]() Download Free Mac OS X Leopard DVD 10.5 DMG Full Release ISO Mac OS X Leopard DVD 10.5 Full Version Crack download is now with simple and easy steps with the direct download link.
